He's been shooting since he was a lad, naturally this carried with him into adulthood.
- Survivalist: Birch Abacaxi the Second isn't going to die if you just leave him in the wilderness. He's been in that situation before, he knows how valuable food and water is, and how to get them. Theoretically he can live entirely roughing it out in the wilderness if he wanted too.
Force Abilities: None[/b]
VII. Background History: BackgroundEssentially TL; DR of the history.Birch Abacaxi was born on the dangerous world of Tatooine, and dangerous places make strong people. With a resounding physical constitution, met with a resounding stubbornness, Birch isn't one easily swayed. Although arrogant, but not of himself, but of the Human race, he is a borderline Human-supremacist. ChildhoodBirch Abacaxi was born on the dangerous world of Tatooine. His family lived in a small settlement with other families. They were all moisture farmers and militia members, they needed to defend themselves from tusken raiders, corporate mercenaries, and other settlements. The reason they were all in one, was because they formed a coalition to help each other in times of need. Others did the same, and this has caused frequent "Moisture Wars" over the debate of territorial boundaries since moisture farms interfere with one another's production. Birch's family is large, well larger than most Human families. Probably because of the significantly increased mortality rate due to the hostile environment, hostile natives, occasional indiscriminate moisture war, and corporates with quasi-governmental powers who don't give a damn about people's lives. Birch's grandfather is retired from the Grand Republic's army, left as a lieutenant colonel for a simpler life. His father a retired captain from the Free Corps, only staying long enough to defend the home of his families and others. Birch's childhood mostly consisted of playing with other children, mostly normal. He'd occasionally accompany his parents in whatever they were doing, slowly and unknowingly learning valuable information for life. Most notably the Jawa Trade Language by accompanying his father and uncle when they traded with the Jawas, so he was raised bilingual. AdolescenceAt the age of thirteen (13), Birch was excited as he was given his first weapon. A bolt-action slugthrower, he'd be learning how to use it and be conducted into the coalition's militia. Although there was a limit, until he was twenty-one (21) he could only be in the settlement, so he didn't get involved in a skirmish and die. Sadly in the same year he got his rifle, there was an attempted raid by Tusken Raiders. No one was hurt, but since he wasn't proficient in using his rifle he almost shot his uncle. Adult LifeAt the age of twenty-one (21) he was officially an adult in his community. He was given his own section of land in newly acquired territory in the most recent moisture war. Using the money he was given for reaching adulthood and personally acquired money, he bought sixteen moisture vaporators, each gathering half a liter of water a day. He'd use the water to irrigate underground crops, personal use, and do as he wish with the excess. He'd always give at least one liter to the settlement's stores for emergencies each day, though. As a moisture farmer he was told that every week a quarter of the moisture farmers would leave in a caravan to sell their water and crops at the starports. The reason for a quarter, was so that the majority of people were still at the settlement to protect from raids. Tatooine wasn't a nice place where water, necessary for life, is equivalent to money. Nothing ever happened during the caravans, besides one time where they were attacked by tusken raiders. They were gunned down before they could get within one-hundreds (100) meters though. They tried to charge into melee combat across open desert, on top of that with their battle-cries, made them very noticeable. Birch did feel guilt, but not for long. He was raised taught that they were nothing but savages, one who couldn't be negotiated with. It appeared all the more true, as a child his one was raided by them, and now here. Birch's early adult life was mostly uneventful, at age twenty-three (23) he got enough Credits to start up a solar-panel farm. With two suns he was able to generate quite an amount of energy, making money selling and bartering the energy to others. Well uneventful is a lie, as there was a moisture war when Birch was twenty-four (24). There was a dispute of territory between Birch's home-commune and another. Lasting a measly month, the moisture war was a loss, with four casualties on Birch's home-commune and none on the other. This would unknowingly cause resentment and hatred for the next few years. Surprisingly a month later war erupted again, but this would be known as the Great Moisture War as nearly every commune is dragged into the conflict. The war arose from ideological differences of whether Tatooine should remain in the ORC, join the Markli, or join the Grand Republic. This caused a three-sided war over the "rightful" ideology, but it was really over a possible series of oasis. This war would last a month like the last one, but with nearly 200 dead and an entire commune wiped out. Namely the commune that Birch's home-commune lost to earlier. Unfortunately during a skirmish Birch's landspeeder had been shot at, and it crashed into the dunes. He was left for dead as the other landspeeder kept going to avoid fire and the assailants left. Armed with only his rifle, a bayonet, and some water, he had to survive in the harsh desert landscape. For two days he roughed it out in the dunes with what little provisions he could gather, learning such from watching his parents as a child. Who knew it'd be so useful, so much later in life? It was during this time Birch developed a fascination, and a dire need for cartography and general exploration. Despite the bleakness of the situation, he was captivated by the unknown, and a desire to conquer it. Although the term was unknown to him, he felt a need to claim, charter, and settle in new lands. He also felt a need to civilize the savage. On the night of the second day he was awakened by Jawas patting him down to find anything of value. He jumped up and startled them, knowing the Jawa Trade Language from childhood, they sincerely apologized and tried to leave. Birch however traded them the salvage from his wrecked landspeeder to transport to Anchorhead settlement so he may find his way back home. It was a deal favorable to the Jawas, since they were already going to Anchorhead, but Birch wasn't in a position to argue. Upon reaching anchorhead, he was able to make it back home in an hours' time. There he learned that they had won what was now termed the Great Moisture War. He also came back in time as there was an ongoing dispute of what to do with his property assuming he was dead, promptly solved by him arriving in person. He made an agreement with his family that they'd take care of his moisture farm and solar farm while he decided to take the profession of exploration and cartography. He'd receive only 10% of any profits, so that he may fund his endeavors. Birch with a new landspeeder took up exploration and cartography for the next two years without any significant events. Well besides making a lot of money selling maps and knowledge of the land. Although he sold two kinds of maps, landscape and resource maps. The resource maps sold especially for a lot, with humidity, areas surveyed for ore, known tusken camps, etc..

| No the difference is, Shatter didn't remove the text that you're meant to remove, whereas Abacaxi is.
Let's not turn this into a discussion topic, this is someone's character application, let's keep it that way, thank you. | |
